- Jei planas jau aktyvuotas sename telefone — jis lieka pririštas prie to telefono.

Two different eSIM worlds
Before buying a new phone, understand this: not all eSIMs behave the same way.
- Carrier eSIMs (your main number) — carriers usually let you move them to a new phone free of charge, in an app or in store.
- Travel eSIMs (like ExRoam) — most such plans bind to the phone they were activated on and cannot be transferred. It is a security rule common to the whole travel eSIM market.
How to transfer your main carrier eSIM
iPhone → iPhone
- Keep both phones nearby, Bluetooth on, latest iOS.
- On the new phone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM → Transfer from Nearby iPhone.
- Confirm on the old phone — the process takes a few minutes.
Android
Recent Samsung models have an eSIM transfer feature (Settings → Connections → SIM manager). Otherwise the easiest route is to ask your carrier for a fresh QR code — most issue a replacement for free or a small fee.
What to do with a travel eSIM when switching phones
- If the trip has not started and the plan is not activated — message us in the chat: we will check whether the plan can be moved or offer a solution.
- If the plan is already active on the old phone — it stays bound to that device. The new phone will need a new plan.
- Tip for the future: if you plan to change phones before a trip, buy the travel eSIM for the new phone.
The most common mistakes
- Deleting the eSIM from the old phone „to keep things tidy”. Deleting a travel eSIM destroys it permanently — it cannot be reinstalled or moved.
- Scanning the same QR on the new phone. One QR code activates once, on one phone — scanning it again throws an error.
